Lowery’s Local Community work twinned with our Eco Drive contribution continues in partnership with Skanska

As part of our continued support of the local community in which we work, Skanska requested the assistance of Lowery to help the Global Generation Charity by contributing to transform an inner city pre-construction site into The Story Garden. Founded in 2004, Global Generation is an educational charity which works together with local children and young people, businesses, residents and families in Camden, Islington and Southwark to create healthy, integrated and environmentally responsible communities. They offer practical experiences and employment pathways to young people, often from disadvantaged backgrounds, and give them the social, emotional and practical skills to make a difference in the world.

Following a site visit with Skanska and the Charity’s leadership team Lowery agreed to contribute their Civils construction experience and expertise to aid the construction works required to create a safe, clean and fit for purpose environment for the Charity to carry out its excellent work for the community of Camden.

A visit to the garden on 7^th Feb 2020 and the first thing you will see is the Roundhouse, which is currently under construction. Lowery have been on site for two weeks, and expect to continue works to complete the structure over the coming fortnight.
