Lowery Ltd HSQE - Transition to ISO 45001 Certification

Lowery Ltd have successfully transitioned our existing OHSAS 18001 certification to the new occupational health and safety international standard, BS EN ISO 45001.

Lowery Ltd chose to transition its systems by adopting the BSI recommended approach which involved piecemeal assessment of compliance with the various aspects of the new Standard through our 6-monthly strategic review audits.

Statement from the Lowery Head of HSQE & Compliance – Kevin Griffiths

We are very pleased to announce that each transition stage was successful, and although site visits were challenging to arrange during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have completed this process with the confirmed certification achievement.

Our successful transition to this Standard has ensured continuation of certification to an internationally recognised Health and Safety Management System Standard, giving our customers assurance that we manage health and safety effectively.

Implementation of ISO 45001 paves a way towards fewer workplace injuries and illnesses through a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk assessment which in turn leads to improved organisational health and safety.

With ISO 45001 certification we can demonstrate that we have taken a further step to continue improving the protection of our people by eliminating ineffective practices and promote further growth in our Safety Culture.

Many thanks to all the Lowery staff engagement with this transition processes including the management and hosting of our BSI audits.
