Lowery Ltd Gatwick Station Project – Weeks 52, 53 & 01 – 2020

Given the significant challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic Lowery adapted our safe working practices and processes to enable the successful completion of all the planned works to programme and budget.

Lowery continue to prove they are the “one stop business” to carry out any Civils, High Voltage & Low Voltage Power, Signalling & Telecoms works on the railway infrastructure.

Week 52 -      Diversion of 3 x High Voltage and 1 x pilot cable (2 sets of HV joints & 2 sets of Pilot joints) including Testing & Commissioning

Week 53 -      Diversion of 1 nos 650v Signalling Power Cable including Testing & Commissioning
Installation of 8 nos 400mm2 Low Voltage cables approximately 250m long and installed through 2 nos UTX’s to the final jointing position

Week 01 -      Diversion of 8 x Low Voltage cables (16 nos joints) including Testing & Commissioning
Diversion of 2 nos 650v Signalling Power Cables, 1 cable requiring an all lines TS11 with all works completed in a 2hr window including Testing &
                     Commissioning

The above diversion involved taking a significant 8 miles of signalling equipment out of use for the duration of the 2hr window then fully restored and commissioned back into service.

Many thanks to the Project’s Principal Contractor & our client Costain for their ongoing support over the past weeks. It is very much appreciated by the Lowery team.
