Rail: Civil & Enabling Services

Quality of outcome is often linked to a reduced number of site interfaces.

Enabling Civils: Uniquely to many power and communications specialists, Lowery is able to directly deliver our own civil engineering and site services – e.g. delivering the cable civils with the cabling or the base before the balance of plant. Many of our personnel are dual-trained with electrical and civil competencies to bake this into our way of doing business.

In this way, we offer the benefit of reduced hand-offs, co-ordination and QA interfaces to our clients – helpful when a switchgear has to fit just right or thousands of metres of cabling needs to right first time.

We also provide stand-alone civil services – e.g. for signalling cabling, station enhancements or depot upgrades.

Services include: Site enabling, access roads, equipment/plant/substation bases, routework and ducting (including           OTX/URXs), CRMS and containment

Telecoms: from our heritage as a national critical infrastructure cabling contractor, including early fibre-optic installations for Mercury in the early 1990s and being a framework delivery partner for Network Rail’s GSM-R/FTN roll-out, we provide stand-alone fibre-optic cabling and lineside plant installation or as part of an integrated power and communications roll-out.

Services include:  Fibre Optics Cabling, Lineside Equipment, Towers, Masts
