Portsmouth Area Infrastructure Upgrade
Lowery are working with Siemens Transportation Systems on their £50million contract for Network Rail for the replacement of signalling and telecommunications infrastructure in the Portsmouth area.
The project area covers Portsmouth, Fratton & Havant with the signalling control extending to Emsworth, Petersfield and Fareham and a new signalling centre at Havant. The project covers approximately 28 route miles.
The scope of work undertaken for Siemens includes the installation and refurbishment of cable routes, cable installation, civil works associated with re-signalling, signalling equipment and the terminating of power & control cables.
