Transport & Plant - Meeting the needs of the Lowery Group.

Lowery Transport & P&D Plant Hire Limited provide the Group with all its Transport and Plant needs.

Lowery Transport operates the Group fleet of commercial vehicles sourcing additional transport as necessary from third party providers. Similarly, P&D Plant Hire Limited serves the Group plant needs and is also responsible for the supply and control of all safety related and calibrated equipment.

The transport fleet includes:
  • 7.5 Tonne Tippers
  • 3.5 Tonne Crew Vans & Crew Pickups
  • Escort Vans
The fleet includes two purpose-built Three Axle Crane Lorries
each fitted with a rear-mounted integral 40-Tonne capacity crane:
  • Lift capacity - 10,000kgs closed and 1,400kgs at 14.5m
    extended reach.
  • Travelling capacity - 44,000kgs GTW when coupled
    to a drawbar trailer.
Lowery maintains a dedicated transport and plant facility at Rendlesham, Suffolk whose prime function is to ensure that Legal, Safety, Quality and Environmental obligations are complied with. This operation supplies and controls transport, plant and equipment for all Lowery Limited operations including:
  • Asset Management
  • Fleet maintenance
  • Management support
40 to 50% of the transport fleet is fitted with live tracking systems facilitating both maintenance information and operational control ensuring improved utilisation of all assets.
