Lowery appointed to three-year LV asset inspection and maintenance framework with London Trams
Lowery has been competitively selected by Transport for London (TfL) as service provider for its 3-year planned inspection and reactive maintenance framework of LV equipment across the London Trams network. Lowery will deliver periodic intrusive and non-intrusive inspections of all LV equipment, including arising reactive works and 24/7/365 ad hoc emergency response support throughout the 28km tram network service boundary centred on Croydon.
Supporting this vital piece of transport infrastructure, Lowery will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining key operational London Trams assets including EM3 & EM4 distribution boards, ES & LP substation distribution boards and mains panels, tram stop lighting, network-wide earthing, and more, at 3, 6, 12 month and 3 yearly intervals.
This award builds on Lowery’s broadening portfolio with London Trams, following successful completion of lineside isolator (LSI) renewals within the Therapia Lane depot, and recently awarded 3+2 year framework to deliver LSI maintenance and inspections across the network.
Company Director - Power & Track, Daniel Burge commented: "We look forward to further developing our integrative and collaborative relationship with London Trams. This appointment allows us to maximise our LT-competent resource base and support the operational resilience and reliability of the tram network.”
